lesson 1: Identity for all
Unit 2 will heavily focus on reading and writing fiction.
The Connexus lessons focus heavily on 'identity'--a person's sense of self. These lessons also try very hard to make a connection between REAL human's sense of identity and a character in a book's sense of identity.
The weebly pages will be helpful for you throughout the unit as a guide for what is really important in the study of English I A and what is less important, but may be interesting none-the-less.

vocabulary
Just like in unit 1, you'll be choosing 5 vocab words (slide 2) to keep track of. Remember, there is no such thing as a virtual backpack!
SLIDE 3: CHECKLIST
On slide 3 there is a 'checklist' of assignments in this unit. Be sure to note how long each lesson may take you!
If you are spending way less time than is suggested, then you may not be earning the grade you'd like in the course.
Or, if you are spending way less time than suggested and you have an A, maybe you would be a candidate for Honors English! Contact Mrs. Schwade if you find that you may like to be in Honors English.
COLLABORATION PROJECT REMINDER

I suggest pulling open the course tree pane (on the left under the purple bar in the lesson view) for help answering some of the questions on the quiz).
NOTE: There is an error in the automated answer key for this quiz. I will enter in your points manually for question 4.
PLEASE review your quiz after I have graded it to make sure you get the points!
Ok...what's next in lesson 2?...let's see!!
