lesson 10: The right word
This is the last lesson in the first unit!
GREAT JOB!!
We have spend considerable amount of time learning all about non-fiction texts and also developing a working vocabulary.
This lesson is fairly straight forward and relatively simple. It deals with the vocabulary developed throughout the unit.
Please be sure to spend time on the interactives within the lesson so that you are well-prepared to take the quiz.

Assessment: Quiz
There is a 10 question quiz for this lesson.
The first 5 questions are multiple choice and ask you to chose the BEST meaning of a word based on how it is used in the sentence. Here you are tested on your context reading skill.
The second half of the quiz asks you to write out sentences using the words you chose ALL THE WAY BACK in the third lesson of the unit (hopefully, you saved them somewhere on your computer--if you did not, you can look at your quiz that you submitted for lesson 3. You wrote them down there). Please be sure to write the information that is baing asked of you in each question--they are not all the same.
WAY TO GO!!!
Unit 2 is entitled, "Journey to Opportunity" hmmm...I wonder what that means? Opportunity certainly has a positive connotation...let's go find out what Unit 2 is all about!
