Lesson 1 – no assessment
Lesson 2 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (click on the “Evaluating a Speaker worksheet” link) and page 4 (click on the “Evaluating a Speaker worksheet” link). Complete the worksheet as instructed in the lesson.
Lesson 3 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link) and page 3 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link). Complete the PART 1 ONLY as instructed in the lesson, by writing a claim and a counterclaim.
Lesson 4 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link) and page 3 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link). Complete the PART 2 ONLY as instructed in the lesson, by citing 2 primary sources, and 2 secondary sources related to your topic.
Lesson 5 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link) and page 3 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link). Complete the PART 3 ONLY as instructed in the lesson, by writing your introduction paragraph.
Lesson 6 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link) and page 5 (click on the “Argument Organizer” link). Complete the PART 4 ONLY as instructed in the lesson, by writing at least 2 body paragraphs.
Lesson 7 – portfolio
Portfolio: Instructions are on page 1 (in the “Assessment” paragraph) and page 5 (in the second bullet point). Your portfolio should contain the introduction and body paragraphs from Lessons 5 and 6, plus a conclusion paragraph.
Lesson 8 – portfolio
Portfolio: For this portfolio, you will submit a PowerPoint presentation of the information from the essay which you submitted in Lesson 7. If you submit the assessment from the lesson, the dropbox will be cleared and you will be asked to submit the PowerPoint presentation as requested.
Your PowerPoint presentation should include the following:
Slide 1 – You name, the class name, teacher name, and title of your presentation (including the unit and lesson number)
Slides 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 – Each slide should have at least one fact or piece of data from your research. You should also include at least two visual elements (such as pictures or clip art), and one chart or graph. Be sure to properly cite each piece of information, using the MLA parenthetical citation method.
Slide 7 – Your works cited, in MLA format.

Portfolio: For this portfolio, you will present your PowerPoint presentation from Lesson 8 in my LiveLesson room. After your presentation, I will webmail you feedback which you will upload to the dropbox for a grade. If you submit the assessment from the lesson, the dropbox will be cleared and you will be asked to submit the feedback document as requested.

Portfolio: This is the Collaboration Project portfolio. You will need to attend a LiveLesson to watch a presentation made by a classmate, or watch a recording of their presentation to complete this project. This portfolio is uploaded to the dropbox on page 3 of the lesson.
