Romantism
Romanticism is movement in writing style that was popular in the early 1800's. There is the root word of 'romantic' in Romantism, but it's not quite refereeing to 'romantic' as you might think. It really has very little to do with the feelings a boy might have for a girl or vice versa.
In the world of literature, Romantic writing is characterized by the idea that nature is perfect. The Romantic believes that if a person spends time in nature that clarity of mind and purpose will come.
This movement is a reaction to the Industrial Revolution that had been in full swing in England for a few decades in which much of the natural world was polluted heavily and transformed quickly from a natural state to one of devoid of natural resources.
