Write your Argument
When you are writing your first draft, do not worry about making sure there are no mistakes as the rubric suggests, but do make sure you are turning in a complete five paragraph essay with a completed works cited page.
After you turn in your final draft, please please give me at least 24 school hours for me to grade it, give you comments, and return it to you. You will then use these comments to edit your essay. I take quite a bit of time writing these comments and I expect that you use them to better your essay before you turn in your final draft.
Make sure your essay:
-is in MLA format
-has a strong claim
-addresses the counterclaim
-grabs the reader's attention in the introduction
-has five paragraphs
-uses quotes from the play to support points
-flows with appropriate transitions
