- the title of your dinner party—the theme
- the beverage—the title of the background music and its artist
- the appetizers— list of the titles of poems and their authors
- the salad—the title of the short story and its author
- the entree—the title of your chosen novel or play and its author
- the dessert—an enrichment activity to complement the theme
- some graphics to illustrate or enhance your chosen theme
- At least two sentences about the theme you have chosen, and WHY you selected that theme.
- The complete title and author’s name for the two poems you plan on using, and where you will access them (website address, title of poetry anthology book, etc.).
- The complete title and author’s name for the short story you plan on using, and where you will access it (website address, title of short story anthology book, etc.).
- The complete title and musician’s name for the music you plan on using, and where you will access it (website address, CD title, etc.). This can be a selection with or without lyrics, but if you choose a selection without lyrics be prepared to explain how the musical elements express ideas.
- The modern connection must be a movie, news story, or social event. Provide a detailed description of what you plan on using, why it is relevant to this theme, and where you will access information about it (website address, movie, newspaper article(s), etc.).
- Be sure to include information about any changes you have made to this information since the portfolio you submitted in Unit 1, Lesson 6. What did you change (add, subtract, modify), and WHY?
