lesson 12: author's tool box laying the groundwork
Great job writing your (super) short story in the last lesson!
This lesson and next will ask you to spend a bit more time writing another story. The story that you'll turn in lesson 13 will be at least a page and half and should demonstrate everything you've learned about the art of story writing over the last two units.
In this lesson, you will 'lay the groundwork' for the story that you'll turn in in the next lesson (got that??)
ONCE AGAIN: YOU ARE NOT TURNING IN A STORY FOR THIS LESSON'S ASSIGNMENT
THIS LESSON ASKS YOU TO PLAN THE STORY THAT YOU'LL WRITE AND TURN IN IN LESSON 13.

ONCE AGAIN: YOU ARE NOT TURNING IN A STORY FOR THIS LESSON'S ASSIGNMENT
THIS LESSON ASKS YOU TO PLAN THE STORY THAT YOU'LL WRITE AND TURN IN IN LESSON 13.
WHAT TO DO FOR THIS LESSON:
Beginning on slide 2 of this lesson, you are given two options:
REIMAGINE: if you chose this option, you'll be planning a story based on the novel you read earlier in the course.
EXPLORE: If you chose this option, you'll be interviewing someone you know about a significant event in their life and writing a story describing that significant event.
Please decide now which assignment you'd prefer.
Stick to it until the end of lesson 13 (the next lesson).
