In this curriculum, they coach you to write your thesis statement as the first thing that needs to be done when you write an essay.
If you've never heard of a thesis statement, that's ok!
It's pretty easy, really! A thesis statement is one sentence that tells your reader how you'll respond to the prompt.
Sound familiar? Yeah, it's similar to a claim, which we learned about in unit 2.
So for this lesson, you are asked to write a thesis statement (one sentence) NOT THE WHOLE ESSAY.
You write one sentence answering the question:
How have these two authors expressed their relationships with nature?
Take a look at slides 2, 3, 4 and of the lesson for guidance in completing your thesis statement.
You can skip slide 5.
