Surprise!
Being able to always predict the ending to stories could get redundant. Authors often use techniques like flashback and foreshadowing to build suspense and then shock their readers with a surprise ending. Think of scary movies and the twist that typically happens at the end when you learn about the real killer.
For this portfolio assignment, you are going to choose a story on slide 3 (they are included in links below) and analyze it using the questions provided on slide 4. Please remember that when you are answering these questions that you are incorporating quotations from the story to back up your points.
