unit 3: journey to equality
In the last unit of the standard course, we take a pretty dramatic turn away from our study of fiction literature.
However, we still continue to study the art of writing.
When you get to English I B (the second half of 9th grade English) you will spend your time learning about NON-FICTION literature, so this unit serves as a bridge between the two; we will learn writing techniques authors use in both stories and real-life writing in this last unit of English I A.
This unit is abbreviated for English I A students. There are quite a few portfolios in the course, and the following assignments should be dropped for ALL students:
Lesson 9: Organizing Your Ideas
Lesson 10: Developing Your Ideas
Lesson 11: More Than the End
If you see the message, "You do not have permission to view dropped assessments" that is a good thing!!
After you complete lesson 8 (writing an introductory paragraph), then please continue to lesson 12: Revision Workshop.
Be sure to use the weebly to guide you through the lessons and assignments.
Ok, let's see what's in this unit!
